Young people need to understand two things. 1) Michael Jackson has his own Facebook page, so if they want to moan & cry about how much they “miss” him they need to do it over there. 2) Those of us OLDER Jackson 5 fans were MJ fans FROM THE GET-GO. THE BEGINNING. WE are the ones who BOUGHT those records with hard-to-come-by allowance money so that they could HAVE those first 4 number one hits out of the box. We memorized Michael-Marlon-Jermaine-Tito-Jackie to where we knew them better than our own relatives’ names. The Jackson 5 had fans, the Jacksons had fans and they continue to have fans, and not just because of our beloved Michael.

If you grew up in that time, and bought the teen magazines, and bought the 45 records and the 33 LPs and the 8 tracks, then you sorely miss that music and I for one am ecstatic they have decided to come back.
Would the show be awesome with Michael? Of course! It was exciting to see MJ with his five brothers for his 30th anniversary show at MSG. We ALL wish he were here with us, or vice versa. But don’t come on The Jacksons’ Facebook and be mad - or surprised - because the brothers have an audience for their music even without MJ because they had one IN THE FIRST PLACE.

If you will never understand that, well, that’s YOUR problem. In the meantime, NOBODY who actually went to the shows from Detroit, Apollo, AC and Englewood have had ANYTHING bad to say about the show that I can find, and I’ve been looking.
As for me, I’m scrambling to figure out which show in the Unity Tour I can afford to go see, since I haven’t had income for a while, and what I can do without to go see it, because the next time around there maybe even FEWER of them and I want to give them their thousand roses and thank them while they are still ALIVE.

I don’t blame sensitive Jackie for getting emotional. This is where it all began for Jackie Jackson and the rest of the Jackson 5, and even before they were the Jackson 5. The fellas will be performing live tonight in Merrillville, Indiana, not far from east Chicago, just 8 miles from their home town of Gary. If you’re in the area, support them and welcome them back home, for the first time without Michael and Randy.

This is proving difficult. It’s the first time I’ve attempted a portrait of an African-American other than my baby cousin’s portrait. And it’s hard to mess up a baby because you’re not that concerned with likeness. This isn’t perfect, I know, but I hope there’s enough information there for someone to figure out who this is. This is a 1980s hairstyle on this, and it’s hard to make the baby hair look natural!

If I became President, the first action I would take is help fix our health care system. Many people suffer due to limitations created by a poor health care system. Regardless of class, financial status, etc. American citizens should have the ability to seek proper health care and not have to settle for second rate treatment that is dictated by their ability or inability to pay. All citizens deserve the comforts of leading healthy, comfortable lives from birth to death.

Hello all,
I wanted to announce that I will be releasing my debut solo EP titled “My Life Without You” in April. Keep an eye out for it on iTunes, Amazon and other music digital distribution services. I also posted a new song that I hope you will enjoy. It’s called “4ever” and you can hear it now at tarylljackson.com. Please retweet, reblog, and help spread the word. Thanks for all for your love, strength and support. It is much needed and greatly appreciated.
Taryll Jackson
This is Tito Jackson’s middle son, Taryll! Looks just like his mama. Probably no big secret what his 1st single will be speaking of. Michael Jackson continues to guide all these kids from another world.

Love you all for being so patient and sticking by me,

I am so excited about this young man, Austin Brown! I just want to explode with joy! This “Menage á Trois” song has a George Michael/Wham! feel to it that makes me just get up & move! Such good things are coming from this young man. Austin restores my faith in a young musician’s ability to create, well, MUSIC, other than the expletive-laden overly-sampled crap that’s permeated the airwaves the last 20 years. Enough with the laziness of the music industry. If I want to hear an old school melody, I’ll listen to the old school song, while people like Austin create their own original, unsampled melody in the tradition of the original Motown artists. THAT’S the way to do it. No surprise, though, that it’s going to take the son of a Jackson to bring music back to where it needs to be!

Of all the 2nd generation Jacksons, and by that I mean the sons and daughters of the Jackson 5, their sisters, and brother Randy, Rebbie’s youngest son Austin Brown may yet be the most successful torchbearer of the Jackson legacy. His production style is undeniably Jackson, his voice recalls his uncle Michael Jackson, his fearless dancing style ups the ante beyond even what his uncle and aunt Janet have done. Austin Brown is the complete package: singer, dancer, and he plays several instruments very well. I’m VERY excited to be witness to this young volcano getting ready to erupt!
